Statement of Purpose Sample for Mechanical Engineering
My passion in the field of mechanical engineering is not by chance, but I inherited it from my father who is running a successful business of automotive maintenance from last 25 years. Memories of assisting my father in his work are one of the most valuable assets of my childhood. As I was inclined towards engines and machines since my childhood, I was quite determined about my future study plans; pursuing my higher education in the field of mechanical engineering. I completed my schooling from XXXX (mention school name) in the year 20XX with having a grade point average of 8.5 at a scale of 10.0. At my 12th standard studies, I took non-medical stream i.e. mathematics, physics and chemistry as core subjects which helped me to develop an understanding regarding various mathematical concepts; integration, calculus and 3-dimensional geometry etc. All these concepts are quite essential to know about for pursuing higher studies in the mechanical engineering field. Just after my schooling, I started preparing for JEE exam so that I could secure a place in bachelor's degree course at some reputed Indian institution. And on getting a decent rank in the specified exam I managed to get admitted at (mention college/university name) in bachelor of engineering mechanical engineering course. I completed my bachelor's degree in the year (mention year of completion) and secured (mention percentage of marks secured) % marks. And now to take my current level of understanding in the field of mechanical engineering to next level and to acquire working skills/knowledge regarding advanced concepts related to the mechanical engineering field i.e. mechatronics etc. I have decided to further pursue a master's degree course.
However, a range of study options are available in India for my higher studies in the field of mechanical engineering but I have planned to pursue it from abroad. As the field of mechanical engineering is getting advanced at a rapid pace, it is quite necessary for an individual to have working skills that directly correspond to real-world working scenarios. And on considering master's degree courses offered by Indian institutions in the field of mechanical engineering, it is quite challenging to have knowledge regarding latest changes made in the field of mechanical engineering. For my education in abroad, I thoroughly researched various destinations i.e. USA, UK, Canada and Australia and finally made the decision of studying in UK; UK is one of the most recognized destinations in the world for one of the best quality higher education, housing some of the world's best academic institutions. One can find employment around the globe with a degree from a UK's institutions; UK's degrees have a reputation of being one of the highly accepted academic credentials among employers. Tuition fee costs for studying a master's degree course in mechanical engineering is quite in budget of most of the international students; one can complete the studies in just a single year and hence, a comparatively lower amount of funds are required to study in UK. Hardly any institution in UK demands for specified exam score for entry to master's degree course in mechanical engineering. UK offers an opportunity to get post-study work visa that could help international students to acquire professional experience in the field of study.
While researching my study options for pursuing a master's degree course in mechanical engineering I realized that the University of Bedfordshire is presenting one of the best options. Irrespective of the fact whether I will stay in UK or not after completing my studies, I am fully determined for pursuing my future career in my home country. Pursuing my future career in India would allow me to remain close to my family and enable me to make my father proud of me by supporting him in taking his business to new horizons by utilizing the knowledge and skills which I would get by pursuing MSc Mechanical Engineering at University of Bedfordshire.
